    Vista new folder nightmere

I need to pick some brains !! using vista 64 bit.

If I create a new folder in a folder it does not appear immediately. I have
to right click and select refresh in order to see the new folder. At this
point I must right click the folder and select rename to complete the once
simple task in xp. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening.

My work buddy next to me has the same OS installed off the same CD and we both have SP1 MINE DOES IT HIS DONT !!! ARRRHHHH !!

    What a pain !! ELP !!!

    Many Thanks

I have seen this sometimes when over a network share where i have had to refresh before i have seen the folder i just created... im thinking particularly of my desktop.. not fixed it and its not consistent... (again x64 vista)

wow that was no help at all!!

what happens if you copy stuff in do they show up straight away or do you have to do refresh for this too...

Ah this does only happen on a network share humm ...

BUT WE HAVE A BREAK THROUGH !!!

I Have completly disable sync in the local group policey, done a cold re-boot and the problem has been solved !!!

Was it the disabling the sync that done it or did i do somthing else ....

My problems solved. Could you guys and gals let me know if this solves the problem on your machines.

    Many Thanks
