got a vista laptop here with norton 360 on it. It connects to the wireless and reports it can access local and internet, indeed i can ping yahoo.com and access ftp servers via cli
however i cannot access any web pages with either ffox of iexplore. Im sure its something to do with the norton crap, but whenever I disable those services, i get a general hardware error when trying to connect to network devices.
whats going on!?

I hate pre-installed crap on laptops.

11th November 2008, 12:22 AM #4 Norton is now on my list of "malware: uninstall immediately" when anyone contacts me about problems with their machine.
It does nothing that Avast or AVG can't handle with 1/3rd of the resources.
