Can we have some vaguer poll responses? I'm coming round a little at home, but I'd never dream of deploying it anywhere serious.

Tried it, wiped it, staying with XP until Windows 7 comes out or moving to linux if we can.

I would like to keep it simple, i mean for home use.

thought i would give it another go a few weeks ago, it made my head hurt just using it, no joke, i had banging pains, its vile.
When Vista was first out i tried it on some PC's and on those it did seem quicker than XP, but i have lothed it ever since, its horrid. I would rather use Windows NT 3.51, at least its not clutterd and hard to use like Vista is.

this doesn't sound too good for my shiny new Vista loaded tosh laptop... thank fook UPS couldn't find my house and had to rearrange delivery.... don't know if I want it now![]()
On my own laptop I use Server 2008 as my desktop - it's great for testing stuff with Hyper-V and you can have all the Vista desktop look/gadgets that you like.
I would say its rubbish, but I now have Vista x64 on a quad core with 4GB of RAM and it is pretty good, certainly usable.
note: still only performs like xp on dual core and 2GB of RAM![]()

Yep, still sucks.

Granted I have a passion for open source... and a general dislike for Microsoft... but enjoying the benefits and championing the use of one operating system does not prevent me from doing the same with others. I still quite like Windows XP for example. As well as FreeBSD. They each have their own respective merits in my opinion. I just think Vista is pathetic, along with the majority of voters in this thread![]()
