I'm just setting up a Windows Vista Home Premium notebook for my daughter. It's wireless. Everything's fine with me logged on with admin rights good Internet access. However, when I run the NB on her limited setting I get the following message "Internet Resident proxy has stopped working" going on the message tells me "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem". No solution has come through so far. Internet access with both IE7 nor Firefox does not happen. Yet the wireless connection reports all is OK. Any ideas please folks?

is it a brand new router? also can you ping it with that account?
No it's an existing Router. I think I might have stumbled across the solution. It seemed to lay with setting Parental Controls. Removing Parental Controls on the Standard User accounts brought IE7 back into normal use when logged on as the student user.
I have activated the Parental controls in Panda Internet Security 2007 (really good price at present on E-Buyer especially as it upgrades on launch to their 2008 version) and that seems to be doing the job now without completely blocking use of IE7 or Firefox.
Strangely though when I switched between the Vista Parental and Panda controls I had a Blue Screen incident which Vista claim was down to Panda! My first use of Vista and bearing in mind the stability of XP I'm left wondering why it was ever necessary to bring it to the market?
