For anyone else who finds the whole Vista desktop experience thoroughly frustrating because of the mahoosive icons here's a very simple fix that I found today.

Now if anyone has a tip for an alternative file explorer, and a way to tone the, how can i describe it..........extreme luminescence of the vista gui, then i might consider switching from xp.

didn't know you were having problems! All you had to do was ask.
That isn'tt the only way to make the icons smaller!
Changing the luminesence on the gui is a simple task too!
