    Active Directory Bulk Update

Hi, I am starting to use HAP and i need to update all of our students active directory accounts so they have the UPN in the Employee ID Field. Has anyone else had to do this before and have any good scripts or software to use?

    Thanks in advanced !

This will do the job (really well) - Bulk AD Users

Can do it in a GUI no scripts etc.

I'd advise using powershell to be honest, but if you're unfamiliar with it then by all means go the gui way.

    Something along the lines of:

    Get-ADUser -Filter * -SearchBase "ou=students,dc=domain,dc=sch,dc=uk" | Set-ADUser -employeeid yourNewID

Will this tool allow for the bulk creation of new users as well?

I've learned to use PowerShell, but I also use this great tool called ADManager Plus. It needs to be installed on a server, and it provides a web-based interface for bulk reporting and modifications in AD. It's pretty reasonable in cost.

+1 for PowerShell.... once you get the hang of it you'll never look back.

There's also ADModify.NET for this, it's old but tested and working well on 2012 R2.
