We have had a new 2012 R2 DC installed with Active directory integrated DNS, and now we are getting issues with other servers / clients that point at the other DNS servers such as not being able to resolve names. Once I change it to point to the 2012 its fine. All the other DNS servers are still functioning and have not decommissioned any yet. Can anyone explain this or offer some pointers. Thanks

On your DNS servers, if your right-click the domain name listed under "Forward Lookup Zones" and choose Properties. What is set under the General and Name Servers tabs?
Is the replication set to all domain controllers with the right level of compatibility? Is the security settings on the Dynamic Updates preventing replication? Are all servers listed in the Name Servers tab?
You probably want to check this on all DNS servers individually.
Also, are ther Name Server (NS) records for each DNS server?

Items are replication fine between the DNS servers.
NS records all present.
And replication is set to all DNS servers in this domain (middle radio button)
