    ADMT for Server 2012

    Hi,

We're building a new domain as part of a restructuring of IT, the result of which is that we're going to need to migrate users, clients and servers from an old .local domain running Server 2008 R2 to a new mydomain.co.uk domain on Server 2012 R2.

My problem is finding a way to migrate the users (inc passwords) across to the new domain as ADMT 3.2 doesn't support Server 2012 and above.

Does anyone know suitable software to perform the migration like ADMT would have done? Or am I going to have to start with 2008 on the new domain?

    Thanks, Dan.

You dont migrate passwords, just recreate them with a temporary one such as "password" and get them to change it on first login.

From research on the net, I thought we could use PES with ADMT to migrate the passwords - then remove the 'Change password at next logon' on the user accounts to keep password the same.
