    Server 2012 GPO issue

We had a single Server 2008 R2 server, for our pupils we were doing a simple redirect of there my documents. We've added a new Server 2012 server as a member server (this will eventually replace the 2008 server). We've transferred the pupils work to the new server and made the change to the my documents redirection.

Problem is none of the clients are picking up the change, I get the error messages in the event log about it being unable to redirect to the old share (I've un-shared it for now). I have no idea why it's still picking that up?

This GPO also has some restriction policies such as start menu lock downs, so as a test I unlinked the whole GPO and rebooted the laptop 3 or 4 times and the start menu was still locked down which would suggest it's not getting the updated settings.

This is driving me loopy! anyone have any ideas?

    thanks

How about deleting the local profile on the client. Remember you also need to delete the registry entry for the profile too.

As an admin can you browse to the new share location from a laptop? Just from the run command?
