    2012 on ESXi 5.0.0

Has anyone got Server 2012 running on ESXi 5.0.0? I can't seem to get it to install properly, it just hangs with the new "whirly stick" on a black screen forever.

If you use Vcenter upgrade vcenter first then the esxi servers.

Yup - i just had a client the other day not be able to add a new server into his cluster and had installed 5.1 instead of 5 - so we had to do the VCenter update.

Yeah its easy just something to do before you do the ESXI!

Also if you use 3rd party plugins you need to check they are compatible.

Thanks all, yeah we do have 4 servers running 5.0.0 and vcenter on enterprise plus. I updated the latest build of 5.0.0 and that seems to have allowed it to install but its not working so well.

Does it work perfectly on 5.1? Drivers and all?

I have just installed a 2012 test server on ESXi 5 and it seems fine! No errors or install hangs.
