Just to rest my mind. Am i right in think that the ISO on the Volume Licensing site is the final release of Server 2012?
As far as I'm aware, only release editions get put on the VLSC site. Betas and pre-releases are kept away from it, and put on technet instead.
yeahWindows Server 2012 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and the ver on VL is that version 6.2 (Build 9200) all ready got a few deployed here inc a DCWindows Server 2012 was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012. The software was generally available to customers starting on September 4, 2012 and worldwide through multiple channels in September 2012.
Thanks, next week I will be doing a Forest and Domain prep.
I assume I don't need to do a RODC prep as I am already on 2008 R2?
you don't need to do any prep anymore its automatically part of the installation of the AD roll, though i believe you can still do it if you want.
I am not installing jet just doing the preps.
