Service pack 2
I've just got hold of a copy of Service Pack 2 for Vista and Server 2008.
Having applied it to one or two of our Vista installations around school, it seems to be stable and works well enough. In fact my perception is that the machines sped up slightly but I've got no way of confirming that.
The next stage is to plan applying it to our Server 2008 boxes.
Although I can build a test box for this, I'm wondering if anyone here has got the RTM version of the service pack onto a Server 2008 rig yet and can share their experiences and feedback on it?
Thanks in advance :D

Installed it on a couple of non essential 2008 boxes and things seem fine. No real big changes as far as I can see.
Not sure how you install it on core yet or when wsus will be deploying it.

The only official word from MS on a WSUS date is "in the coming weeks".
Only visible change I've noticed so far is when you view DFS shares in Explorer, the icon now appears with a shortcut overlay to indicate it is a DFS folder, same as Windows 7 does.
I am liking the improvements to Windows Update. When I had a Vista SP1 and a Vista SP2 machine running side-by-side during the RC phase, it was noticeable that the SP2 machine did not require reboots for many updates when SP1 did.
