Server backup password. Does it encrypt or prevent access to files?

    Hi.

We are just about to move to windows server backup and have seen the option to add a password.
Does this encrypt the backup or Just stop people from being able to recover files?

    Many thanks

Unless it says it's regarding encryption then it's just an access password.
