Group Policy - Wireless Network
Hi,
I have been having a play with the wireless network setting in GP. Computer congif/policies/win settings/security/wireless network.
I have added a vista policy but then discovered that you cannot add the encryption key this way.
I have sent the policy out to test laptops and the policy has applied and added the SSID I created to the manage wireless networks.
However it will not use this because there is no encryption set, but is 1st in the list to connect to then the correct one manually configured second.
I have tried to remove the incorrect one set in GP but says it is managed by your administrator.
I have removed the policy in GP but it does not remove it from the laptop.
Does anyone know how to remove the connection?
I have tried to keep the policy there but delete the profile and still does not work.
Thanks

15th December 2011, 03:17 PM #2 Your wireless laptops can't connect to the domain now to see that the policy has been removed. You're going to have to plug each one into the wired network and let them refresh their policies. After that they should be good. You can force a policy refresh by typing this at a command prompt:
gpupdate /force
