    Multihomed server

trying to get our eclipse server on the internet. Luckily it came with 2 network cards in. Trouble is whenever i plug in the internet link, the academic link becomes unreachable.
I've never had this problem with older multihomed machines/servers before.

I'm guessing it's a 2008 thing but what i'm not sure. It's hard to fiddle with it as it's always in use when i'm in.

    Help!

can you not publish it on the internal nic through a firewall ISA/Smoothie or something - thats what i would do as i don't tend to like opening up to much to the Net

That's not a problem as our internet router goes to our LCC and through all their firewalls and whatnots.

Personally i still wouldn't! do you have 2 default gateways set? as this can cause problems

nope. I wonder if it's something to do with link-layer topology. I've turned those off but havent tried it yet.
