Windows Server 2008 Thread, server 2008 not showing shared folder icon in Technical; is it me or does server 2008 not show if a folder is shared 2003 had the little hand underneath ...

    server 2008 not showing shared folder icon

    is it me or does server 2008 not show if a folder is shared

    2003 had the little hand underneath the folder icon since move to 2008 it is not showing

    what have i missed here

    the folders are shared but it is a little difficult to manage without the icon

    Looks like it is removed by design.
    Bring back the shared folder overlay icon!!!!

    Hi

    The shared hand is gone, however you do get another icon which shows the folder is being shared. You get an icon showing two people on the folder.
