Erm, Guessing you dont have a backup no?

Have a look in "Disconnected Mailboxes" i dont think it will be there to be honest as they only seem to drop there if you disconnect it yourself but worth a look.

    Try this in Exchange PS

Find the mailbox using this command:

    Get-MailboxStatistics -Server <server> | where { $_.DisconnectDate -ne $null } | select DisplayName,DisconnectDate
and then restore the mailbox with this command:

    Connect-Mailbox -Database <Mailbox_database > -Identity <Deleted_Mailbox>
    Hope that helps,

    James.

Right Okay, If you havn't try those PS commands you may have some look with them it depends on what it decided to do, if i remember correctlty when i first ever had exchange on a demo domain i deleted someone from AD and it just removed them from Exchange and Mailbox was history!

But then again, it was when exchange 2007 was first out i was not do handy with powershell so you may have some look with that.

    Right,
Looking over the shoulder of the NM -
We checked the exchange database and the rules were that it didn't delete deleted mailboxes before 30 days.
So we opened up the SHELL and used the command CLEAR DATABASE
then we entered the name of the database and then refreshed the database.
and hey presto! the mailboxes returned....phew....
Im no expert, so if someone can translate that into something a bit more meaningful then if it happens to someone else it might be of use.

He may of used, but this would only be if you had a Recovery Storage Group:

Restore-Mailbox -identity 'John Smith' -RSGDatabase 'RSG\mailbox database'
