Total Windows 2008 Server Upgrade Service
Hi all
A number of my schools need new servers. I was wondering if anyone here knows of a company that will not only supply a new 2008 server but also carry out the install and carry out the swap out of the old server, swapping over the user folders, policies, DHCP, DNC AC etc etc
And how much would this cost approx
Cheers all
P.S we are based in west yorkshire

I know European Electronique will do it for you. We use them for all sorts of things and I know they have done that for other schools. Their contact details are below. Ask for Pete Collin, top bloke, he'll sort you out.
Not sure what they'll charge you exactly, but I'm sure if you're ordering quite a bit of hardware they will come down on price for the installation. You will be looking at paying some kind of a rate based on the number of days they expect it to take. Normal day rates for an engineer from any company is likely to be in the range of £500 - £1000 depending where you go, and as I said, dependant on the hardware you order.

Thanks Mark, I was hoping to find a company a bit more local to keep costs down, we are based near Leeds/Wakefield and they are all the way down south, Oxford.

Good understanding of the needs of schools and he fixed up for the install by an absolute gem of a guy by the name of Kevin Carter - a real expert who did the school proud as it was far beyond the level of my experience.
