    ntfs permissions

    Hello,

    New to server 2008

Creating shares and when I set everyone full on share, it seems to add everyone full to ntfs also

    Not like 2003.

Anyone have any tips on setting share and ntfs permissions on network folders e.g applic, pupil_home etc

    Thanks

are you sure its not just picking it up from teh root of the drive as iirc 2008 adds everyone to the drives at root level. iirc though if you leave uac on though and remove everyone it can be a bit picky at times when actually on the server itself
