Print Server Slow in 2008

A quick browse of Google reveals that many seem to be experiencing slowness when using the print server in 2008. Have any of you here seen this behavior? If so have you found a resolution?

Yes we experienced the same issue on our environment.. we are running w2k8 R2 64bit print servers. IT happened with windows XP clients and older HP printers like HP2100, 2200, 4000, 4100, 4200. Most of our issues are now resolved by removing the PCL 6 universal driver from HP. After that install the PCL 5 driver and remove the selection for enable advanced print features.
