LightSpeed systems user agent MSI GPO
Hello all,
Not sure if anyone can help me but I have spent hours on this and im banging my head against a brick wall.
I am trying to roll out the useragentx86.msi and UserAgentServerID.mst. I have followed everything though 100% as per the lightspeed user guide but once I perform a GPUPDATE /FORCE Server 2008 throws out a error "the group policy client side extension software installation was unable to apply" The server asked for a reboot which I have done but none of the PC's within the domain are getting the user agent. If I apply a manual update this works fine but I don't really fancy doing this to over 1,000 different units. I have also tried applying a login script using VBS but still no joy
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello again,
Sorry feel abit stupid now. Just been sent these instructions via email and it has worked. I hope someone else will find it useful:
In a GPO that applies to that computer, add the following setting:
Computer Settings
Administrative Templates
System
Logon
Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon - Enabled
After you set that (and allow the GPO to replicate if you're in a multi-DC environment), do a "gpupdate /force /boot" on the subject PC. It will reboot and you should see the software installation occur

We've also found the wait for network at computer startup and logon is critical, especially with Windows 7 clients.
