Where would I find this KMS_B key. The licensing site doesn't list that anywhere from what I can see!
Strange that your EES licence doesn't show one. Ours looks like this
Maybe an email to M$ would get it sorted?
Goto Licenses->Relationship Summary and then click the licence agreement you bought then look down the list for KMS keys, we had ours in there, couldn't see the datacenter ones anywhere else.
I've got the datacentre ones... That list only has KMS for datacentre too. MAK for the others.
Oh I see! Sorry, just set up datacenter using DISM it doesn't take long and will let you licence your Servers without entering licence keys :)
I think when I installed my KMS key to the server it would activate any version of 2008R2.
This is pretty helpful Download: VAMT 2.0 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
Removes the need to use those annoying cscripts!
Got it working now. Next issue, fixing the DNS server record, as this system is inherited from a wider area BSF system and has bits left over...
There are a few categories of OS which activate ONLY those groups BELOW the current group

One thing I would say also - check the server / machine that the Key Management Sservice is installed and enabled through the kms server's firewall settings, it doesnt enable them by default (or at least didnt when I made my KMS server), I overlooked that on site here and spent an hour when I was doing it wondering why the IT Suite I had built up as 7 refused to authenticate anything, despite being over the 25 machine limit, once I changed that setting it insta-registered the entire room.
Its also worth getting hold of the VAMT stuff from MS as well, they can help you in a more user friendly environment than the powershell when checking things like activations.
