Both MP printers (Ricoh, Sharp) will not print from 2008r2 but ok from 2003 server.

Hello, I am moving our printers onto the 2008r2 server. I have downloaded the correct drivers for the server and installed without any problems, when I print the job goes without any errors but does not actually print anything from the printer. I have tried both PCL5 & 6 drivers and also from an XP computer connecting to the shared printer on the new server but still nothing prints.

I have been given a security number which I used on the xp computer, this made no difference.

I can still print from our old 2003 server.

Any idea whats going on.

try disabling advanced printing features
alternatively ive had odd printers that required more than just the drivers installed to work they showed up ok but like you are experiencing they disapeared into a black hole
