Normally when installing a DC I put the NTDS on D and sysvol on C. But does it make a difference putting them on separate drives if they are just separate partitions of the same HDD?

Other forums are saying that if space is not an issue and you don't have different physical drives for each partition to just leave the defaults.
Putting it on a dedicated different volume makes it safer in case the system partition fills up it won't corrupt AD which is handy.
