Outlook Freezing After 2008 R2 Upgrade
I need ickle bit of help, over Christmas we upgraded our 2003 domain up to a 2008 R2 domain! Its all gone swimmingly so far logon times are brilliant, group policy works great!
This was until we decided to turn off one of the old 2003 demoted DC's we then got users complaining of outlook pausing every time they open an email for 30ssec or more. We have done hours of investigation, group policy is correctly redirecting and we have packet sniffed and the pc's do not connect or look to the server!!
The only way to solve it is to delete the ntuser.dat! However I don’t want to open a the world of pain this would cause if deleted all users ntuser.dat!
Does anyone have any suggestions on solving the pausing, if not the best way of resetting everyone’s ntuser.dat!!!
Also we are a little cautious about taking the domain functional level up to 2008 R2 as we are worried about XP clients connecting, does anyone have this functional level and happy xp clients?
