Automatically login to OWA
Does anyone know how to sort out OWA to auto login using your domain username and password? I know it can be done but unsure how?
Thanks

4th July 2012, 01:51 PM #2 Internally it is possible but I think from looking at this before you would need a second owa site on a separate port to not use externally without intergrated auth although this may have changed with 2010
See here for more info.

@mrb-solutions can i ask why you are not using full outlook internally? We have it setup using the MS group policies for outlook to automatically configure for exchange.

@FN-GM
We are not using the full version of outlook for some staff as they login different places and the profiles are not roaming so this is a problem. We install full version on all staff laptops but they all have classroom computers so not alot of them use it in school. Any information on 2010 OWA?

Disable cached exchange mode and you are ok. As long as you can cope with no offline access - which will be the same as OWA.

Would you rather go down the outlook client path?

no i think it would be better for our school to keep using the OWA. Last site managed to get the OWA to login automatically depending on who was logged onto the computer so would be involving the AD.

Do you have one or two servers?

You will probably have to add on the office 2010 admx administrative gpo settings.

I also have a couple set to disable cached exchange mode.
You need to have the ADMX for office on first though
