    Import printer ports

We are moving over from server 2003 to 2008 and I've managed to migrate printers over but I am left with 1 last problem. We also use Pcounter to restrict printing an each printer has been allocated a Pcounter port. Unfortunately when migrating printers over it fails to create these ports and gives an error message to manually create the port and configure it or then re-import once the port has been setup. Problem is we have lots of printers and I can see a way to either export/import printer ports only or bulk create new ports so I dont end up manually having to create these ports.

Any suggestions I can try before having to manually do it?

Is Pcounter installed on the new server? I'd imagine that the port type will have to be available in order for the import to work.

Yes it is. Unfortunately the migration doesn't recognise the port still and produces an error message which basically says the port needs to be created before the printer can be migrated over. Solution is to create the port and then try the migration again...which I've done.
