Hi
Im the schools technician, I have a question about DNS, at the moment i have 2 internal DNS servers
as it stands the setup is as follows:
in DHCP, Option 6 point to both internal DNS servers to all of my clients
then in my DNS Server on "Forwarders" tab in my domain node properties. i have put in the ip addresses of both Council DNS's as they host the internet there.
now im confused here. im not 100% sure about Conditional Forwarding!??
should i really be using Conditional forwarding for the councils dns. or keep it as it is??
what do you think?

18th June 2012, 10:03 AM #2 You would only use conditional forwarding with your LEA if you had two connections. So all LEA network traffic went down a separate connection to your Internet traffic. That way you would want to use conditional forwarders with your LEA servers to resolve internal LEA services.

so basically i don't really need it. as i don't use any shared internal resources from the LEA.
Thanks for clearing that up
