printing issues
Hi again...
More printer related issues this time...
Randomly....printing suddenly stops on our network.
I can look at the queues for the various printers, new items can get added but items do not fall off if delete is selected.
We have a selection of HP3505 (x86 and x64 universal drivers (PCL6) installed used by x86 XP clients) and a HP2055 (x64 universal driver (PCL6 v5.2) only as only Win 7 x64 clients access this).
On the server I have often restarted RPC and the print spooler, but more often than not I get a time out error 1585 (or something similar)
I have looked at event viewer on the server but cannot see any irregular errors or any other clues.
This has been happening for some time and is now getting frustrating.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem?
Many thanks in advance

9th February 2012, 03:34 PM #2 I'd have a look at any printer drivers recently installed or and print/photocopier type software installed. We had some Canon piece of software at a previous employment for the photocopiers that used to kill ours.
