Keep getting a error when windows installs then says Setup is applying system settings then a box comeup with
windows could not parse or process unattend answer file, The answer file cannot be applied.
There isn't an answer file. I have redone the image again, I have installed WDS again, replaced teh boot image, its only certain PC's doing this, other PC's I have which are the same dont have a problem so the image does work.
Any help would be great as i'm out of ideas.

28th November 2011, 12:11 PM #4 I'm pretty sure I've had this a few times....
Have you cleared AD of all older build accounts?
When WDS does the build, generally it will build with a computer name of "ADMINISTRATOR1/2/3/4" etc. If these accounts are still in AD AFTER the name change, then this trips up the installation of the settings, as it sees the account for the PC is already in use.
I hope this helps!

28th November 2011, 05:44 PM #6 I know you've got this sorted, but just in case anybody manages to achieve the same spectacular thing I did, if you have WDS automatically create a name and it is longer then 15 characters (netbios limit) it will still create a computer account for you in AD but will always fail on the specialize pass because it can't apply the name to the computer.
