Morning all,
I'm getting errors with WSUS, one of the errors is A license error apparently the license isnt valid for files to be downloaded, and also I'm getting issues with failed downloads on updates and my machines wont update until it has been approved - I've tried to approve but get a red "X" next to the updates in WSUS to say the file has failed, I'm getting this on nearly every update.
Any Ideas ?

Sounds like it could be up for a repair install (upgrade to the same version over the top). May trash config.

15th November 2011, 11:21 AM #5 Sounds like something is up with the server in general than WSUS specifically. I would try running chkdsk followed by sfc /scannow to see if there's any system file corruption.

15th November 2011, 11:39 AM #7 OK i'm back in now and the updates are downloading simply because the server is at capacity for the updates - does anyone know how to move the location of updates ? i want to be able to put them on a separate Samba share on the new SAN if it's possible and also the only error i'm getting now is a "Microsoft Software license failed to download"
