Image won't work on one type of machine

For some reason I keep getting an error when putting the windows image on from the network.
The install starts and goes through, then erro's up at ''Setup is applying System Settings ''

Have attached a screen shot. The image is fine as it would on all other machines, just not these litle Nbox's, and it used to work before and just stoped for some reason.

Have you tried running it on that machine without the unattended file it is speaking of?

EDIT: alternatively remove the section that's failing, or copy and paste that section here for us to have a peek at

There isnt a unattended file there. On the properties of the image, the Check box is unticked for '' Allow image to install in unattended mode ''

    Well................that's not good then

How about trying it with an unattended file then? (honestly have no idea now you've said that though )

EDIT: this might sound really stupid, but is the time and date correct in the bios? I know that sounds odd but thinking about it i've had a problem with WDS before where the bios time/date was wrong.

Hi did you generalize the image. Plus is this a ghost image or a windows image. Lastly at some time in the past did someone use an unattended file that was say on the network where as it starts it cannot contact that address or say the unattend file was on a usb drive, etc. Have a look in C:\Windows\System32\sysprep and subfolders and see if there are any unattand xml files that might be being applied.

We had this on older machines which had the SATA HD set as PATA in the BIOS.

Are you sure it's not just a broken machine, we've got a few that do this too, a bit later they stop working completely. The ones we're having problems with are Lenovo Thinkpad n200, some of them just don't like WDS.
