    Everybody's resyncing...

    Not as fun as shuffling....

How long would you estimate a 4x 2Tb RAID 5 array to resync?? And does it continue after a restart or zero and start again?

    Thanks

couple of hours, best to leave it overnight, because it also depends on the hardware so it could take much longer. my old raid array would start from scratch after a restart. however others dont lol. basically depends on the RAID Card your using.

I think our QNap server (6 disks in RAID-6) took pretty much exactly 24 hours to resync from a single failed disk.

Thanks all, I'm more worried about restarting and it zeroing as I don't get any progress indication in the console.
