    Windows 7 GPO Lockdown

    Hi

    I am looking for a way to lock down windows 7 with gpo. Does any templates exist for this that are locked down for school?

    I am sure I posted one up, have a search for gpo lock down and you may find it. It was a while ago.

    Itgeek, Did you ever find a Student lockdown GPO? Nephilim, I couldent find yours anywhere. Would love to check a few things of with the one im having ago at making at the moment.

    I have a policy i can zip up for you along with a few reg keys to remove libraries etc.

    why dont you just create a gpo and test it? each person will want to lockdown in different ways..

    Well thats what im doing/done. My main problem is that I really struggle with reading, thers a lot to read and understand. My brains not up to scratch like alot of you guys. Im getting there, fort it would be good to check a few bits and pices.

    As MBrunt said you maybe better creating you own and just test, test and test. While it is good to have something to refer to you really don't know how certain policies are going to work in your scenario. Even things microsoft says should happen do not allways work as they should and you will fiddle but should learn quickly.
