Just about to install 2008R2 onto a DELL T610 and have a page requesting UEFI or BIOS as the install mode.
What have others used? Any issues with UEFI?

you cant boot from a volume bigger than 2TB with bios you can with UEFI. not that i have used it yet!
Don't have any boot drives that size. I was reading that UEFI should replace bios over the next few years but don't really want to test it out on my one and only server without knowing if anyone else has gone down this road.
I'll hang off on the install and see if anyone has used this already.
The new intel P67 H67 Q67 and Z68 boards use the UEFI bios, it's quite snazzy, much better than the old BIOS, nice graphical interface and you can use a mouse in it! I'd say go for it, i'm surprised it's given you a choice of both really (quite a cool feature. I certainly can't see it breaking anything.

Use EFI, it decouples the OS even more from archeic hardware handling. Its probably going to be much more reliable under EFI in the long run.
