GPO Error 1603 on software deployment.

Im getting a 1603 error on some machines when trying to deploy software. Looking arround on the internet hasnt uncovered much... has anyone else had this problem & managed to fix it?

The main piece of software is Autograph 3.20, but like i said it is only failing on a few machines.

The bellow error message is all I get.

    Code:
Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. Software changes could not be applied. A previous log entry with details should exist. The error was : %%1603
    Thanks in advance.

    Craig

Have you tried the steps in MS KB834484 (Help and Support - KB834484)?

    We have windows 7 clients,

Ill check the permissions and what not but all the machines use the same base image as we deploy via MDT- So why would one be different from another.

I've been digging arround a bit more this afternoon and still havent found anything!

    Back to the drawing board.

    Regards

    Craig

Have you tried enforcing the GPO that deploys software ? I had a range of weird errors when trying to deploy software until I enforced the GPO that had the software in it and now it deploys and works fine

quick way of testing is to use the command GPUPDATE /FORCE on the client then reboot it that forces a reload of Group Policy
