Can anyone recommend a good piece of software - preferably free? I have managed to rescue my RAID drives, after the weekend's overheating issue, but the drive is showing as unallocated. I feel certain that the data will still be there, least ways I hope it is. I would really, really appreciate some help here as I don't relish the thought of having to re-create the virtual machines that should be on the disc.

11th August 2010, 01:49 PM #3 If you don't get anywhere with Test Disk, I'd recommend Active Undelete
http://www.active-undelete.com/undelete.htm
This may help: "Recovers files from deleted, damaged, formatted or reformatted partitions"
It's paid-for, about US$80, but really rather good.
