...To External Recipients.
Messages we send to recipients outside the domain [recipients other than those on SchoolExchangeDomain.Local] so if I were to send an E-Mail to:
Staff1@SchoolExchangeDomain.Local from Me@SchoolExchangeDomain.Local with the attachment WordDocument.DOCX
it will be delivered intact [full text, attachment and extension]
However if I send an E-Mail to:
Staff2@GoogleMail.COM from Me@SchoolExchangeDomain.Local with the attachment WordDocument.DOCX
the message will be delivered and so will the attachment but the attachment will arrive as:
WordDocument
or even sometimes:
W1
Can anyone tell me what is causing this? [I do not manage the Exchange server so any information I gain here I will have to forward to the Exchange Manager: Hopefully he will be receptive]
Many thanks.
Version: Exchange 2007

Anyone got anything to suggest?
Anything I might try could help.
Thanks.
