I had a question for you 2K8 R2 server users.
I'm actually using 2k3 server and Win7/RSAT to set group policy preferences and whilst it works OK I have a slight problem. If I create an IE Preference it only allows me to set IE6 and IE7 settings. This is a bit of a problem as IE8 is now out.
Can you create IE8 preferences in 2K8R2 servers? Is there a way to do it for my setup (I have IE8 on the servers and on my workstation)? Am I missing something?

Tells me that it should be in EITHER 2K8R2 or Win7 RSAT. I have the latter but no preference items for IE8

i have just checked my windows 7 workstation running admin tools and i get add prefrences for ie8.
latest admx template?
() When you load IE8 on XP, you get an updated INETRES.ADM template.
() When you load IE8 on Vista, you get an updated INETRES.ADMX template.
Having said this: these will not effect whats displayed in prefrence

Yes I've just looked and they seem to be there... I'd swear blind that they weren't there when I checked after I installed the RSAT a couple of months ago.
Now if we could have an "Is Idiot" button next to the "Thanks" button for me to click.
