13th August 2009, 03:47 PM #2 Gatt beat you to it - Windows 7 RTM Now on TechNet and MSDN!
Downloaded it last night and have been setting up our new 2008 R2 domain today. Very nice considering I wasn't expecting to even start doing this until next week!

I suspected as much when I saw the date on the MVLS site. Seems strange that MS announce that it's not going to be up until 19th August and then release it on the 11th! Not that I'm complaining of course

Very true, I logged on to try and get my key for Win 7 (seemed to be having issues last week) and then I saw 2008 R2 and though oOoOoOo lets get that down now before the world see's it with it not being out until next week from the other info I had earlier on

13th August 2009, 09:17 PM #9 Isn't it a pita that exchange 2007 isn't compatible with the R2 release.
Totally frustrating.

Boooo.... will 2007sp2 support it?

Really? Can you provide me more info where you got this from? Looks like we may not be running exclusively r2 if this is the case!

13th August 2009, 10:02 PM #15 I've been playing with it. I hate it even more than 2008!
BIG Start menu icons for the hard of thinking.
BIG icons for control panel, no classic control panel.
STUPID unrecognised network even though I can tell it exactly what it is.
Spacing too wide for pinned task bar icons
It even more of a "My first server" OS than 2008 original was.
I'm rather disappointed
