    FRS and journal warp errors

    H. All,

I've been having some issues recently and I think I've tracked it down to file replication issues.

I have 2 DCs. GC_2 is 'primary' and has an up to date version on sysvol and netlogon but has a journal wrap error.

Dc1 isn't pdc and doesn't have a copy of sysvol or netlogon.

I'm trying to fix the journal wrap error on gc2 so it can replicate to dc1 but all the info I can find relates to server 2000/2003.

I want to make sure I'm not losing any gpos, or anything else like that.

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks.

If you're still using FRS, it's worth moving the sysvol over to DFS-R first and foremost:

SYSVOL Replication Migration Guide: FRS to DFS Replication

Not a difficult job, but takes a little while to follow all of the steps.
