Move Home Directory contents to new folder

    Hi All,

I need to move/copy all students home folder data from \\server\student data\intakeyear\username1 to \\server\student data\Yearx\username2 due to changing username from a mishmash to sims Id

all data setup in csv file (Oldusername = Column A, newusername 2 Column B)

Any idea how I can get a script to do this and move to the next line of the csv once one is complete etc ?

    Many thanks as always!

alternatively you could use your excel spreadsheet to create a batch file containing the robocopy commands to copy from one folder to another.

so for example in column c you could so something like:

    Code:
    ="copy " & "a1 & " " & b1

You could parse the csv using powershell and other methods but I always found just creating a batch file from excel easier.
