One of the things delprof2 (Delprof2 - User Profile Deletion Tool) says it can do.
This may have generated more replies on the Windows 7 forum, but the problem is actually occurring on Server 2008 R2.
I'm trying to delete the profiles of students who took a CiDA exam last January. I can't complete the job for two of the students. The problem is that they both have a deeply-nested folder in Dreamweaver's site cache that cannot be deleted. Any deletion attempt (eventually) generates a message that the folder you're trying to delete cannot be found. In other words if I try to delete the student1.v2 folder then it says it can't find the that folder; if I go further down the folder tree then the one I try to issue the delete against is the one that's reported as not found.
The names and attributes of the problematic folders cannot be changed (again, a not found message). It's not a path length problem, as I've explored that approach. I've also tried the command line - no help.
What may be relevant is that the files are named The Recycle drive (the name of the site that the exam board helpfully asked them to make).
This is beginning to annoy me.
