    Exchange 2010 and Outlook Setup

    Hi,

I am running Windows 7 on clients and Office2010, server is 2008r2, now I want outlook to auto set-up rather than the user have to click next and finish to add an email account to outlook they are using, as if they change PC they have to go through this all again.

Is there a way of doing this?

    Thanks

We use RichProfile for this, works seamlessly on 2000 accounts

    Create Outlook Profile Automatically

    Command line we use is:-

    p:\nwapps\outlook\RichProfile BASALT %username% %username% N D

    Hope that helps

AUtoD is sufficient for this. Only a couple if clicks...
Are you saying AUtoD isn't working?

It is working, but they want staff to not have to do this.... If it was up to me i would leave it as its only 2 clicks!

In the outlook 2010 group policy templates there is a option to automatically configure outlook. Dead easy to setup, just a tick box. We have it setup here.

GPO may be your option then.....I would still leave it, if there's issue it's nice to know if AutoD is working and can retrieve the settings correctly.

We use the Office Customisation Tool to setup Outlook as default for install - but this is part of our MSP for the Office install.

You can also create a PRF file and all that's required is to double-click on it and Outlook is configured.

Customize Outlook profiles by using an Outlook Profile (PRF) file
