    LDAP Path question?

    Forgive my ignorance, but we are looking to tidy up our AD structure a bit, and need to move our MoodleLDAP user who is configured in AD.

    Now what I am asking is whether the complete path needs entering on noodles LDAP settings, or just the final OU that the user resides in?

    E.g. Cn = MoodleLDAPUser, OU = staff, DC = domain name, DC = com

    Or

    CN = MoodleLDAPuser, OU = staff, OU = domain users, OU = users, DC domain, DC = com

    if someone could confirm that would be great, just for my peace of mind

    Cheers
    Mark

    The path for a specific user would normally be to their current OU including all the ones above if it is a sub-level.

    CN=MoodleLDAPUser,OU=staff,DC=domain name,DC=com if the user is in Staff OU in domain.com.
    CN=MoodleLDAPUser,OU=MoodleUsers,OU=staff,DC=domai n name,DC=com if the user is in MoodleUsers\staff\domain.com.

    Just to add you also put spaces between locations in the path. LDAP paths don't have spaces

    For example

    Its:

    OU=domain users,OU=users,DC=domain,DC=com

    Not

    OU = domain users, OU = users, DC domain, DC = com
