Struggling with SRP
I'm wondering if you can help. I have tried following the link below:
I am using USBDLM and it seems to be working correctly as USB sticks are getting mapped to the same drive letters everytime. I have configured path rules to disallow U:\ X:\ Y:\ and Z:\ (U:\ being home directories) and I have added bat, cmd, com, exe, msi, reg and vb to designated file types.
I have logged in as a student tried to force the group policy update. Everything seems to be applying correctly but I can still run exe files from memory sticks and home directories.
I thought perhaps something else was applying from top level preventing the SRP policy but it's not.
I may be mistaken, but if you're doing file paths, don't they have to be "exact" or wildcarded. aka U:\ will block U:\test.exe, but not U:\folder\test.exe ? May be wrong, but pretty sure it does it that way.

Or isn't it blocking anything at all?
Managed to sort it it was me making a silly mistake. All my restrictions were right but I was logging in as a user on one domain to a computer on a different domain! Hurry up Friday think it's going to be one of them weeks! lol.
