I've found that some machines are sharing the same IP address! Well old machines that havent been on in a while or decomissioned PCs still have DNS entries but resolve to the ipaddresses of new machines.
So the address 10.44.8.74 has a DNS record for 3 PCs Only 1 is real 1 is a less used PC and 1 is a long removed PC.
The DNS roles are on 2 servers PDC and SDC do I have to do anything? some of the records are 3 years old!

You can either setup so that stale records are scavenged Step-By-Step: Clean up DNS with scavenging | TechRepublic Or you can set your DHCP server to update your DNS which normally keeps DNS clean for DHCP addresses
