hey ppl, my district is small. Pre -K to 8th grd. right now we have students sending their files from home and school via their personal email to their teacher's email. I was thinking of setting up a remote connection(term server) just for students to access from home to upload their files. I would like to know what some of you are using for this. Any help is appreciated.
thanks

23rd October 2011, 02:11 AM #6 This is the one i used in the past: Secure Remote Access (SRA) 4200 - SonicWALL, Inc.
There is a demo site here: https://sslvpn.demo.sonicwall.com/cgi-bin/welcome
Did you have any specific questions?

23rd October 2011, 04:18 AM #7 this is probably something I have to find out but do you know if I can do all this with what I have? the NSA 3500? I just want students to access lets say a share which will probably have their teachers name and upload their files to that folder. We are talking about 4th graders to 8th graders. so the simpler the better.

23rd October 2011, 09:33 AM #9 If you just want them to have file access have you had a look at this: Home Access Plus+ Welcome . Very simple from the user prospective as it just allows access to drives you specify through a web application. Lots of users have been having good results with is and its free.

Moodle wont let you do it out of the box. There is an addon for it, but its very fussy about what the server is running.
