Server 2003 Sever cant browse netork shares eg c$

I have a 2003r2 server that is a dc, that was working fine. Now I can not access any client PC's (c$). Also we have papercut installed on this machine that syncs with AD that will no longer sync, below is the erro message from papercut. the papercut application server service has the correc logon credentials.

    Starting Testing sync settings ...
    Synchronization process starting
Retrieving users from the operating system (may take a while on large networks)...
Synchronization complete. Operation took 0 seconds.
An ERROR occurred testing settings:User directory encountered ERROR running command 'C:\Program Files\PaperCut MF\server\bin\win\UserDirAD.exe enabled-users-only| all-users. User directory command returned status -2147217865. Standard ERROR: ERROR occurred: Unable to list users from Active Directory. There is a permissions problem accessing AD. Please verify that the user running the 'Application Server' service has permission to query the required AD domain(s). ERROR: ERROR performing AD query: Table does not exist. (-2147217865)

    Finished.

    Any help would be good

Where you say you cannot access any client PCs... is this from the DC or across the network in general?

this problem is for this server only this server only, but papercut is working and collecting data from mfps across the network

Iam logged in to the server as a domain admin

Error message below when trying to browse netork share

\\pay-dell is not accessible. you might not have permission to view this resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have permissions
Logon failure: the target account name is incorrect

I am presuming that the print queues are set up on this server also? AFAIK Papercut hooks in to the local print spooler and as such (unless you use secondary servers which just report to the primary client using web APIs) doesn't actually leave the box to do any kind of data collection.

As the papercut webpages are working (as appear to be) it may be worth restarting the Papercut services (there should be three labelled papercut...) to see if this fixes your issue

Your image upload did not work so am not able to see the image of the error.

Yes paper cut is functioning fine and all the shared mfps are installed on this server

Have restarted Papercut with no success

here is the erro message when i try to browse a domain PC, I think whatever the problem is they are related

    OK...

Is there any obvious errors/warnings etc. in the event log of the DC. Also, is your other DC working ok?

Not really sure then at this point, the errors in the log may indicate issues with replication or site authentication, it may something as silly as a clash of IP (we have seen this before with staff when they bought in laptops they had been using at home).

Sorry I cant be of more use
