    Printer Permissions

How do I allow the staff to manage documents that are sent to the printer? I dont want them to be power users or anything,or be able to manage the actual printers, I just want them to be able to delete the print queues. Have looked around but can't quite get the result I want. Is it in group policy? If so, where?

I think the builtin "Print Operators" security group will give the permissions you need.

How do you setup your printers?

I have mine setup that each PC has a local printer which has its port directed to a print server, so when a job is printed it spools it to the server. The server then spools it to the printer. On the print server I have assigned 2 extra groups pupils can print, whereas staff can print and manage documents

No, print operators would give them too much control.
I found it on the printer permissions but couldnt see how to add the staff - turns out we needed a global security group with all the staff in it and then I could give the staff permission to delete documents etc. This is done on the server as the printers are networked.
Would never have figured it out myself: many thanks to Adams-Dad who knew exactly what to do!
